Erasmus trip to Denmark

From 11 to 21 May 2025, 13 students from Year 2 of the Technical College for Tiles, Ceramics and Stove Construction (Ceramico Campus in Burgenland, Ausria) had the opportunity to gain valuable experience abroad as part of a craft exchange project. The destination was the renowned vocational school EUC Nord in Hjørring, in the far north of Denmark.

During the ten-day project, the young people worked daily with a Danish specialist on a practical construction project on the school campus: first, a stable wall was built from the ground up - focussing on both technology and teamwork. The prepared surfaces were then clad with wall and floor tiles. Particular attention was paid to the exact alignment, precise cutting of the tiles and professional grouting. The students were not only able to test their craftsmanship skills in an international environment, but also develop them further.

Away from the construction site, the class learnt about life in the north of Denmark. On various excursions, the young people gained impressions of nature, everyday life and the culture of their host country.

The trip was a complete success and motivating proof of how European educational cooperation can be brought to life.
