The PCI-Alpencup 2023 is calling – on the tile, get set, go!

It’s that time again: The third PCI-Alpencup is now in the starting blocks and promises to be another spectacular event. This year, it takes place in Dagmersellen, Switzerland.
The PCI-Alpencup 2023 is calling – on the tile, get set, go!

With this format, which PCI has set up in cooperation with the European Union of Tile Associations (EUF), providing support to young craftspeople in the tile laying industry is raised to a new level.

And this is having an effect: nine countries will be taking part this year – including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol, France, the Czech Republic, Denmark and, for the first time, Sweden and Norway.

Once again, 18 young craftspeople will be competing against each other in teams of two in an exciting international competition to demonstrate their skills.
But that’s by far not all! For the first time, the PCI-Alpencup will take place outside of Germany in Switzerland. The venue is the Dagmersellen Educational Park in central Switzerland near Lucerne.

The task for each of the teams of two is tricky and demanding – a challenge at the level of the professional world and European championships (WorldSkills/EuroSkills) must be mastered within a specified time window.

The task will be evaluated by a jury of experts consisting of one expert from each participating country. From this group, one country takes the lead in appointing the jury chairman. After Germany (2021) and Switzerland (2022), Denmark is in charge this year and will prepare the challenging task for the participants.

This event is an absolute must for everyone who is passionate about the craft!
